Skype
Skype is the latest web 2.0 tool I tried. Belinda and I talked in real time over the computer a couple of nights ago. It was awesome. Penny used Skype to bring an author to her school last year. It's a great educational tool with many uses.
I use Skpe frequently and just love it, especially when communicating with my family members who live out of state. I can't wait until we as media specialists use it for conferencing.
We use Skype to visit weekly with our son and his family in CA. Our four year old grandson loves to show us his toys and tell us new jokes! The possibilities of using Skype as an education/professional tool is an interesting concept. I'm amazed at the visual clarity and audio!
