I was so glad to see so many of our Library Media Specialists at FAME this year.

I loved our speakers! I am inspired to begin a celebration of our readers similar to "Breakfast of Champions" as presented by Lorraine Stinson and Lynn Guinta. I have the latest interactive digital e-books on my wish list. I am in the pre-planning stages of creating "Time Travel via Symposium" (Session 34 by Michelle Brooks and Gail Berzins). Yes, I know. I am motivated and attended some great sessions.

Joan, the "Breakfast of Champions" was my favorite!!! (And by favorite, I mean a good fit for our school!!!) So, I've already been talking to people about it... just have to find a good guest speaker.

My favorite presentation was the FRA and in another, I learned about VoiceThread and a number of other techie items...still no time to do everything I would like. It would be nice to have the Marion County folks do their presentation for everyone who was not able to attend FAME.

Joan, thanks for being the first to share your FAME experiences.....I am sending a small "thank you" for using the blog to network with others. Canstance, I am also sending you a little thank you through the courier for your post regarding the FAME Conference. Daniela, the FRA workshop is always a good one...I am glad you enjoyed it. Your thank you will come via courier as well.

I've been able to network with several of my colleagues on the ideas I brought back from FAME.

I ordered "Running for My Life" by Warrick Dunn. (They ran out at FAME.) Once it is processed, I plan to read it for myself first, then if it is as inspirational as I anticipate, I plan to read it with our football players.

I am working with our Foreign Language teachers to create a "museum" in the library during March for Women's History Month.

I've also had a teacher approach me about creating digital booktalks with her class after she heard how well it went with an English class.
